The Great White JTR is named after the famous shark and it's creamy white underside coloring. The initials "JTR" salute Iraq War vet Josh R., who is such a badass we can't use his last name. Josh was our very first customer and came to us with the idea of a dive piece with white dial and red sweep hand. We loved the idea and it's been one of our best sellers. (Thanks for your service, Josh!)

The Great White JTR looks fantastic with all bezel combos, (but we are particularly fond of the green insert.) The JTR is back in stock November 1! The JTR uses the same case, bracelet and movement as the Blacktip, but the dial is a slightly off-white cream, with cream markers and baton hands. And, of course, the awesome red pip on the sweep hand.

For the money, Monterey Watches are by far the best thing going in the Micro Brand world. With a fantastic Automatic movement, Sapphire crystal and Ceramic bezel, it hits way above it’s weight class!! Well done!

Bought the Great White JTR, as well as the Dark Bayou EM, and arrived quickly in a quality presentation box. Upon opening the box the visual esthetics of the G.W. is better than I had imagine, and that's only superseded by the build quality when in you hand. Solid feel in the bracelets, rotating bezel is utterly smooth with just the right amount feedback, and the ceramic bezel looks fantastic. Dial details present flawlessly, the lume is bright, and this combination of colors works for both days in my suit as well as casual wear when out. I couldn't be happier with this timepiece; especially for the cost! I have a box full of automatics and I'm shocked with the accuracy compared to my Omega, Tag Heuer, Oris, and multiple Tissots. I rolled the dice and bought the Great White as well unsure if I would prefer one over the other and I'm keeping them both. Customer service is as awesome as you've read from others, and the personal touch of a message hand written upon receipt of the timepieces was above and beyond. Monterey has a customer for life!!! If your thinking about buying, DO IT!!!
I've had my eye out for a green bezel white face diver for years. The only two real options are Rolex or an Orient they made a few years ago, but is even harder to find than the Rolex version. Low and behold, Monterey makes one. So, I buy the watch, not knowing what to expect. For the price, it's a really awesome watch. I'm impressed with the quality and feel of it. It has an automatic movement. The metal watch bracelet is branded. Honestly, this watch brings me a lot of joy to wear and is become more and more my daily watch. It's a quality piece!
